Shikshya LLC provides Consulting in-person onsite professional learning to both 4-year high schools and transfer schools in ELA, USA History, Global History and Science teachers in instruction and teaching. Shikshya LLC has 24 years experience (NYC DOE) in providing the following services:
1) Shikshya evaluates the school data (student and teacher) to identify areas that require support to improve instruction and raise graduation rates;
2) Shikshya assesses the curriculum in place and supports the school in upgrading it to ensure it meets the Next Generation Standards and NYS Content Standards;
3) Shikshya follows it up by coaching teachers in content and pedagogy based on Advance and Regents data. The work is underpinned by research-based resources;
4) Shikshya coaches teachers with CRSE unit and lesson planning, Danielson, Advance Literacy and all DOE professional learning required by the District;
5) Shikshya provides whole school professional learning as well as content specific professional learning to departments;
6) Shikshya conducts learning walk with teachers to norm shared understanding of the school's instructional focus and other key cultural practices; similarly, learning walks are undertaken with Administration through the year to norm our understanding of instructional and school culture practices;
7) Shikshya has 10+ years experience in preparing schools for Quality Review, Learning Leadership and PPOs, analyze the feedback and support with the identified areas of growth;
8) Shikshya supports ENL and SwD teachers with unit and lesson planning with the focus on differentiation strategies and co-teaching models;
9) Shikshya coaches teachers in using education techhnology to engage, teach and assess students; currently, she is supporting the Podcast teacher with instruction and teaching;
10) Shikshya supports Administration with analyzing infrastructure that is related to instruction and teaching and provides recommendation that will help the school improve. |
