Beading is a great way to engage SWD’s through creativity and hands-on production. This program is designed to help students build tangible items that reflect their interests using various beads and stones in an array of colors and sizes. Teaching students with disabilities the skill of beading and how to turnkey their creations into a product lays the foundation of entrepreneurship in the future. C.O.O.Phs: The O!cademy is proud to bring forth Careers, Occupations & Opportunities Post high school (C.O.O.Phs) ,an in-school program specifically for high school upperclassmen. COOPhs will support students in evaluating their “what’s next” as they approach their most anticipated transition; young adulthood. The provision is for high school seniors to explore their occupational interests, gain hands-on work experience in real time while simultaneously improving their social skills amongst their peers over the course of twelve weeks. Upon completion students will garner better insight for the next steps. |
